The houses are nice, and remain in fairly good condition while transferring from owner to owner, and getting maintaince is a pretty easy, streamlined experience. However, I would highly suggest against staying here due to the the security and their scrutiny upon you having any guests in your house, or you just living there for that matter. The supposed rule is you can have 15 guest at most at a time, however I've had my door knocked on for watching the nightly news because supposedly you could "hear it three houses down". Yeah, people love to blast that news volume it's a real banger... My friends share many, many similar experiences, all with the same "three house" line and also the classic "you can hear it from down the street" one. We've walked outside after every encounter with the very unsettling secuirty guard, and no, what he's saying is just not the truth. Also, if you leave your blinds open and have people in your living room, or have people over for dinner, expect a knock just because. So, if you like living like a prisoner in your own home, then the Outpost is the place for you!

Nifty little scam they have going over there. On their website it'll tell you what the price for the rooms are. However, the price reflects what it costs for the smallest room in the apartment, the others are higher prices. No mention of this on the site. Plus, to make it even better, they tell you this information after you pay the application fee. I have to give it to them, Im sure they make a lot of money out of false advertising! Luckily I didn't get as far as sending in the application. Some people didn't get as lucky! They do have very nice facilities overall, just be sure you know the REAL price before you take the first step.

Sadly, I have loved living in this complex when it was Aspen Heights. Since it was taken over by the Outpost, things have drastically changed. The Aspen Heights staff, including the manager, was wonderful. They always made you feel like this was home and they were there to help you feel comfortable and at ease. Sadly, that is not the case with The Outpost. The new management is inexperienced and poorly skilled at maintaining resident loyalty. In my nearly three years of living here I have always paid my rent on time and never had one compliant. I have done everything to show that I am a loyal tenant and that I value my space here. I follow every rule and keep my home clean. My son attends a nearby elementary school so my plan has always been to stay here long term while I attended school and he finished elementary. Unfortunately, this new management does not offer the same resident loyalty that the previous management did. I am a disabled cancer survivor and one of the perks of renting here was the accessibility for disabled parking. I have parked in the same handicap parking spot for three years and never once had a problem. We came home late last night and although my son claims he put up the handicap tag- it must have fallen off the mirror. I go to leave this morning for a doctors appointment and find my car was missing. I called the police to find out the apartment complex went ahead and towed my car. No warning, no phone call, nothing. I find it irresponsible management to require us to have parking permits and provide our parking information but not to keep on record which tenants have a disability and handicap placard to avoid situations like mine. Their courtesy officers should have had this information so that rather than going right to towing my vehicle and costing me hundreds of dollars I don't have, they could have just warned me about a honest mistake. To me, this shows an inclination towards predatory towing and the management was quite unsympathetic when I came in so distraught about this. Basically it all comes down to the mistake I made of not having the placard hanging up and not the loyalty I have shown as a quiet and model tenant for nearly three years. Beware this new company. They are definitely moving away from tenant loyalty practices that the original company, Aspen Heights, modeled so well. They run this complex with a corporate attitude and you will pay the cost that comes along with it. I am apprehensive of when the day comes that we move out due to all the horror stories I have heard about the costs they will hit you with after.
